Editing Your Profile
Overview
Edit your profile to share information about yourself with other users. A well-crafted profile helps build trust and attract followers.
Accessing the Profile Edit Screen
Steps:
1. Click the user icon in the upper-right corner
2. Select "My Page" or "Settings"
3. Click the "Edit Profile" button
4. The profile edit screen opens
Editable Fields
1. Username
Description: The display name shown throughout Memoreru
Constraints:
- Required
- 1-50 characters
- Must be unique
Recommendations:
Good examples:
- Real name (for business use)
- Nickname (for personal use)
- Organization name + personal name
Avoid:
- "User123" (lacks personality)
- Symbols only (hard to identify)
2. Profile Image
Description: The image displayed as your user icon
Constraints:
- Maximum 500x500px, 1:1 aspect ratio recommended
- Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF
- Maximum file size: 5MB
Recommendations:
Good choices:
- A clear headshot (for business use)
- A simple icon (for personal use)
- A logo (for organization accounts)
Avoid:
- Blurry images
- Group photos
- Copyrighted images
3. Bio
Description: A short text introducing yourself
Constraints:
- Optional
- Up to 500 characters

Available platforms (5 fixed options):
- X (formerly Twitter)
- TikTok
- YouTube
Custom links: In addition to the above, you can add up to 10 links to any URL of your choice.

Saving Your Profile
Steps:
1. Edit each field as needed
2. Click the "Save" button
3. A "Profile updated" confirmation message appears
4. You are returned to My Page
Changing Your Profile Image
Uploading an Image
Steps:
1. Open the profile edit screen
2. Click the profile image area
3. A file selection dialog opens
4. Select an image file
5. The image is uploaded
6. Preview the result
7. Click "Save"
Cropping the Image
You can crop the uploaded image to adjust it.
Steps:
1. Upload your image
2. A cropping area appears
3. Drag to adjust the selection
4. Click the "Crop" button
5. The cropped image is shown in the preview
6. Click "Save"

For Business Use
Recommended settings:
- Username: Real name
- Profile image: Professional headshot or company logo
- Bio:
- Organization/company
- Job title and area of expertise
- Responsibilities
- Website: Company or personal website
- SNS: Business-oriented platforms like LinkedIn
For Personal Use
Recommended settings:
- Username: Nickname or real name
- Profile image: Custom icon or photo
- Bio:
- Hobbies and interests

- What you plan to share
- SNS: Twitter, GitHub, etc.

Click the "Remove image" button on the profile edit screen.
Q3. Can anyone see my profile?
A: Yes, your profile is public information.
All Memoreru users can view it.
Q4. Can I use Markdown in my bio?
A: The current version supports plain text only.
Markdown support is being considered for a future release.
