Editing Your Profile
Overview
Edit your profile to share information about yourself with other users. A well-crafted profile helps build trust and attract followers.
Accessing the Profile Edit Screen
Steps:
1. Click the user icon in the upper-right corner
2. Select "Settings"
3. The "Account" tab shows the profile edit screen
Editable Fields
1. Display Name
Description: The name shown throughout Memoreru
Constraints:
- Required
- 1-50 characters
Recommendations:
Good examples:
- Real name (for business use)
- Nickname (for personal use)
- Organization name + personal name
Avoid:
- "User123" (lacks personality)
- Symbols only (hard to identify)
2. Profile Image
Description: The image displayed as your user icon
Constraints:
- Maximum 500x500px, 1:1 aspect ratio recommended
- Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP
- Maximum file size: 5MB
Besides uploading your own image, you can also choose from a set of preset images.
Recommendations:
Good choices:
- A clear headshot (for business use)
- A simple icon (for personal use)
- A logo (for organization accounts)
Avoid:
- Blurry images
- Group photos
- Copyrighted images
3. Cover Image
Description: The banner image shown at the top of your profile page
You can upload, crop, and remove it the same way as your profile image. Preset images are available here too.
4. Bio
Description: A short text introducing yourself
Constraints:
- Optional
- Up to 200 characters

5. Location
Description: Free text for where you're based
Constraints:
- Optional
6. Website
Description: URL to your personal site or blog

- Optional
- Must be in URL format (https://...)

7. SNS Links
Description: Links to your social media accounts
Available platforms (5 fixed options):
- X (formerly Twitter)
- TikTok
- YouTube
Custom links: In addition to the above, you can add up to 10 links to any URL of your choice.
Examples:

Instagram: https://instagram.com/username
YouTube: https://youtube.com/@username
Saving Your Profile
Steps:
1. Edit each field as needed
2. Click the "Save" button
3. A "Profile updated" confirmation message appears
4. You are returned to My Page
Text fields — display name, bio, location, website, and SNS links — are saved with this "Save" button. Your profile image and cover image are saved immediately, as soon as you set them, following the steps below.
Changing Your Images
Steps:
1. Open the profile edit screen
2. Click the profile image (or cover image) area
3. Selecting an image file immediately opens the cropping screen
4. Drag to adjust the visible area
5. Click "Confirm" to save the image right away
This save happens separately from the "Save" button at the bottom of the page — the image is applied as soon as you confirm it.
To remove an image, click "Remove image" to revert to the default.
Profile Tips
For Business Use
Recommended settings:
- Display name: Real name
- Profile image: Professional headshot or company logo
- Bio:
- Organization/company
- Job title and area of expertise
- Responsibilities
- Website: Company or personal website
- SNS: Business-oriented platforms like LinkedIn
For Personal Use
Recommended settings:
- Display name: Nickname or real name
- Profile image: Custom icon or photo
- Bio:
- Hobbies and interests
- Areas of expertise
- What you plan to share
- SNS: Twitter, GitHub, etc.
Best Practices
1. Update Regularly
Recommended: Review every 3 to 6 months
What to check:
- Is the bio still current?
- Have your areas of expertise changed?
- Are all links still working?
2. Complete Your Profile

3. Be Mindful of Privacy
