Overview

Memoreru's search feature helps you quickly find what you need in a large library of content. When you search, a search results screen opens with four tabs at the top for switching between search methods. You can also narrow results further by content type, visibility, and other conditions.

Getting Started

Type a keyword into the search box at the top of the screen and press Enter to open the search results screen.

Four tabs appear at the top of that screen. If you don't switch tabs, "Smart search" is shown by default.

The Four Search Methods

Smart Search (default)

What it does: Combines keyword search with search for content with similar meaning, giving you a well-balanced set of results.

This tab is selected automatically whenever you search. If you're not sure which method to use, staying on this tab is a safe choice. It doesn't use AI tokens and is available on every plan.

Search by Keyword

What it does: Finds content whose title or description contains the words you typed.

Best when you already know the exact keyword you're looking for.

Details: [Full-text Search](./Full-Text Search.md)

Find Similar

What it does: Finds content with a similar meaning to what you typed. For example, searching "cooking recipes" may also surface content about "meal planning" or "how to cook."

This is a free search method that doesn't use AI tokens, and it's available on every plan.

What it does: Reads the intent behind a sentence like "the budget table I made last month" and searches based on what you're looking for.

Available on the Light plan and above, and it uses AI tokens.

Narrowing Results by Condition

On the search results screen, you can narrow results further using:

  • Content type (Page, Table, etc.)
  • Visibility (Public, Team, Private)
  • Author
  • Created/Updated date
  • Category and tags

For example, you can combine "Table type only" with "created by me only."

Tips for Choosing Keywords

  • Use specific keywords
    • Not ideal: "program"
    • Better: "React custom hooks"
  • Combine multiple keywords
    • Better: "task management table"

On the "Search by Keyword" tab, separating words with spaces finds content that contains all of them. For more tips, see [Full-text Search](./Full-Text Search.md).

What's Shown in Search Results

Each search result displays the following information.

  • Title: The content title
  • Description: A summary of the content
  • Content type: Page, Table, etc.
  • Author: Who created the content
  • Created date: When the content was created
  • Visibility: Public, Team, or Private

Sorting

Use "Sort" at the top right of the search results screen to change the display order.

GroupAvailable orders
PopularityRecommended, Views, Likes, Bookmarks
DatePublished, Updated, and Created dates, each sortable newest first or oldest first
OtherRandom, Custom order, Title (A→Z / Z→A)

If you don't choose an order, results are shown in order of relevance to your search keywords.

FAQ

Q1. Too many search results?

A: Narrow things down using content type, visibility, or similar conditions. Filtering to "created by me only" or "recently created only" makes it easier to find what you need.

Q2. Can't find what you're looking for?

A: Check the following.

  1. Spelling errors: Make sure you're searching with the correct keywords
  2. Visibility: Private content is only searchable by its creator, and team content is only searchable by members of the same team
  3. Deleted content: Deleted content does not appear in search results

Q3. Can I delete my search history?

A: Your search history is saved automatically. To delete an individual item, click the X button next to it in the search history list.

Q4. A warning message appeared after searching several times in a row

A: Searching too many times in a short period brings up a message asking you to wait before trying again. Wait a little while, then search again.
