- Select your account on the Google sign-in screen
- Once you are returned to the home screen, you are signed in
If this is your first time using "Continue with Google," a Memoreru account is created automatically using the name and email address from your Google account.
If you already have a Memoreru account with that email address, no new account is created — you are simply signed into your existing account.
GitHub and X (Twitter) work the same way.
Logging In with a Magic Link
You can log in without a password — just click a link sent to your inbox.

If something goes wrong:
- If the email does not arrive, also check your spam or junk folder
- If you request a new link several times in quick succession, you may be asked to wait a moment before trying again
- The link has an expiration time. If it expires, request a new one and use the link in the latest email
- A login link works only once. If you see "This link is no longer valid" after clicking, request a new email and try again

- By default, your session persists even after closing the browser
- If you are using a shared computer, always log out when you are done

Email Verification
What is Email Verification?
Email verification confirms that the email address you registered with actually belongs to you.
Verification Steps
-
Receive the verification email
- After creating your account, a verification email is sent to your registered address
- Subject: "Memoreru - Verify Your Email Address"
-
Click the verification link
- Click the "Verify Email Address" link in the email
-
Verification complete
- Once verified, you will be redirected to the Memoreru login page
- Your account is now fully activated, and all features are available
Trouble with Email Verification?
If you didn't receive the email:
- Check your spam or junk folder
- Confirm your email address is correct
- Try resending the verification email (see instructions below)
If the link has expired:
- Verification links have an expiration time
- If expired, resend the verification email
How to Resend the Verification Email
If the email never arrived, or if the link has expired, you can request a new one at any time.
- Go to the
/verify-emailpage - Click the "Resend verification email" button
- When you see a confirmation that the email was sent, wait a moment and then check your inbox
Things to keep in mind:
- When a new email arrives, use the link in that email. The link in any previously received email will no longer work
- If you try to resend several times in quick succession, you may see a message asking you to wait a moment before trying again
- If your account is already verified, the resend button will not appear
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
You can enable two-factor authentication to add an extra layer of security to your account.
What is 2FA?
When logging in, you enter a 6-digit code generated by an authenticator app in addition to your password. Even if your password is compromised, your account remains secure without access to your authenticator app.
How to Set Up 2FA
-
Go to settings
- After logging in, navigate to the settings page (
/settings)
- After logging in, navigate to the settings page (
-
Enable 2FA
- In the Security section, select "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"
-
Set up your authenticator app
- Install an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator
- Scan the displayed QR code with your app
-
Enter the verification code
- Type the 6-digit code shown in your authenticator app to complete setup
Logging In with 2FA
- Enter your email address and password
- Enter the 6-digit code generated by your authenticator app
- Login complete
Turning Off 2FA
If you change phones and can no longer use your authenticator app, or simply want to start over, you can disable two-factor authentication.
- Open the Security section of the settings page (
/settings) - Select "Disable Two-Factor Authentication"
- To confirm, enter your current password and the 6-digit code from your authenticator app
- Once disabled, your next login will no longer ask for a 6-digit code
If you cannot log in because your authenticator app is unavailable:
Use one of the backup codes you saved when setting up 2FA. After logging in with a backup code, you can disable two-factor authentication from the settings page and set it up again if needed. If you no longer have your backup codes either, please contact support.
Active Sessions
You can review the sessions where your account is currently signed in from other computers or phones.
- Open the Security section of the settings page (
/settings) - Check the "Active sessions" list
The list shows the device or browser used for each session, along with roughly when each session was last active.
If you see a session you don't recognize, or one left on a computer you borrowed, click "Log out" on that row to end just that session.
How Many Devices Can Be Signed In at Once
You can stay signed in on up to 5 devices at a time.
If you are already signed in on 5 devices and sign in from another one, the oldest session is logged out automatically.
If you find yourself unexpectedly signed out on a device, it may be because you went over this limit.
