What Makes Memoreru's Social Features Different

Content-Centric Design

How Memoreru differs from traditional social media:

Traditional social media: Person (account) → Posts → Likes/follower counts prominently displayed Memoreru: Content (topic) → Discussion → Numbers shown subtly

In Memoreru, content takes center stage, not people.

De-Emphasized Metrics

Quality over virality:

  • Like and view counts are placed in unobtrusive positions
  • Follower counts are not prominently displayed
  • The design lets you focus on the content itself

Why:

  • Content is valued for its quality, not by numbers
  • Instead of chasing "virality," the platform encourages constructive discussion

Constructive Communication

Ad rem (addressing the argument, not the person):

Memoreru's comment feature promotes debate focused on the topic at hand, not personal attacks.

Ad hominem (personal attack): "You're not an expert, so your opinion must be wrong." Ad rem (addressing the argument): "Could you share the data source for this section?"

2. Keep Comments Constructive

Offer suggestions, not just criticism:
