Comments and Replies
Overview
The comment feature allows you to ask questions, share opinions, and engage in discussions about content. Through constructive communication, you can deepen your knowledge.
Posting Comments
Basic Comment Posting
Steps:
1. Open the content detail page
2. Scroll down to the "Comments" section
3. Type your comment in the input field
4. Click the "Post" button
5. Your comment appears
Character Limit
Comments can be up to 2,000 characters long.
Comment Content Guidelines
Recommended types of comments:
- Questions
- Opinions and impressions
- Supplementary information
- Discussion points and proposals
Examples:
Good comment examples:
"This data analysis was very helpful.
Could you go into more detail about the ... section?"
"I faced the same challenge.
You might also want to try the ... approach."
Posting Replies
Replying to a Comment
Steps:
1. Find the comment you want to reply to
2. Click the "Reply" button below that comment
3. A reply input field appears
4. Type your response
5. Click the "Reply" button
6. Your reply is posted
Hierarchical Threads
Thread structure:
Replies are displayed hierarchically under the original comment.
Comment (parent)
└─ Reply 1 (child)
└─ Reply 2 (grandchild)
Benefits:
- Easy to follow the flow of discussion
- Related comments are grouped together
Editing Comments
Editing a Posted Comment
Steps:
1. Click the menu icon (...) in the upper-right corner of your comment
2. Select "Edit"
3. Modify the comment text
4. Click the "Save" button
Note:
- You can only edit your own comments
- Edited comments are marked as "edited"
Deleting Comments
Deleting a Comment
Steps:
1. Click the menu icon (...) in the upper-right corner of your comment
2. Select "Delete"
3. Click "Delete" in the confirmation dialog
4. The comment is removed
Note:
- You can only delete your own comments
- Deleted comments cannot be restored
- Deleting a comment does not delete its replies — child replies remain visible
Comment Use Cases
Asking Questions
Purpose: Clarify things you don't understand
Examples:
"What is this column in the table used for?"
"Do you have any reference materials on this analysis method?"
Sharing Your Opinion
Purpose: Share your thoughts or impressions
Examples:
"I hadn't considered this perspective. Great insight."
"In my experience, the ... approach also worked well."
Providing Supplementary Information
Purpose: Add useful information to the content
Examples:
"A recent study also found that..."
"A related case worth mentioning is..."
Starting a Discussion
Purpose: Engage in constructive debate
Example:
"I think there's another way to interpret this.
For instance, what if we consider it from the ... perspective?"
Comment Best Practices
1. Keep Comments Constructive
Ad rem (address the argument, not the person):
Memoreru encourages discussion focused on the topic, not personal attacks.
Ad hominem (personal attack):
"You're not an expert, so your opinion must be wrong."
Ad rem (addressing the argument):
"On this point, there is also data showing...
With that in mind, what are your thoughts?"
2. Be Specific and Clear
Add specificity to your comments:
Bad example:
"Nice." "This was helpful."
Good example:
"The ... section was especially helpful.
I'll try applying it to my own project."
3. Be Polite and Respectful
Show respect for others:
Good examples:
"Would you mind sharing your thoughts on...?"
"If it's not too much trouble, could you explain...?"
4. Respond in a Timely Manner
Keep the conversation flowing:
Try to respond to questions and comments as promptly as you can.
Recommended:
- Reply to questions: within 24 hours
- Respond to opinions: within a few days

Recommended behavior:
- Share specific, constructive opinions
- Answer questions thoughtfully
- Respect differing viewpoints
- Provide supplementary information
- Express gratitude
Don't
Prohibited behavior:
- Personal attacks or defamation
- Spam or advertising
- Off-topic comments
- Sharing personal information
- Harassment
Consequences: Comments may be removed, or your account may be suspended.
Comment Notifications
When You'll Be Notified
Notifications are sent when:
- Someone comments on your content
- Someone replies to your comment
Note: Mention notifications (@username) are not yet implemented and are planned for a future release.
Notification settings:
You can toggle notifications on or off in the settings.

Privacy & Security
Comment Visibility
Follows the content's visibility setting:
Comments inherit the same visibility as the content they belong to.
Content is PUBLIC -> Comments are PUBLIC (visible to everyone)
Content is PRIVATE -> Comments are PRIVATE (visible to the creator only)
Content is TEAM -> Comments are TEAM (visible to team members only)
Reporting Inappropriate Comments
Reporting feature:
If you encounter an inappropriate comment, you can report it.
Steps:
1. Click the menu icon (...) on the offending comment
2. Select "Report"
3. Choose a reason for the report
4. Submit
FAQ
Q1. Can anyone post comments?
A: It depends on the content's visibility setting.
- PUBLIC: All users can comment
- PRIVATE: Only the creator
- TEAM: Only team members
Q2. Can I edit a comment after posting?
A: Yes, you can edit your own comments at any time.
Edited comments will be marked as "edited."
Q3. Can I change the comment sort order?
A: In the current version, comments are displayed in chronological order (oldest first).
A sort option is planned for a future release.
Q4. Can I attach images to comments?
A: The current version supports text only.
Image attachment is planned for a future release.
Q5. Can I hide comments?
A: You can delete your own comments, but you cannot hide other users' comments.
Use the "Report" feature for inappropriate comments.
Q6. Is there a mention feature?
A: The mention feature is not available in the current version.
It is planned for a future release.
